Auto Spot Mod Instructions
What Is Auto-Spot Mode?
In Battlefield and Gears of War games, user can help out his team by "spotting" an enemy. Once an enemy is spotted, he will show up on your teammate's radar and you may even get extra points when that enemy is vanquished. In Battlefield, this is accomplished by manually pressing "BACK" or "SELECT" button when you are in a vehicle. In Gears of War 3, this is accomplished by pressing the left stick (in the default button layout).
How Does Auto-Spot Mode Work?
Once Auto Spot mod has been activated on your controller, you no longer have to manually press "BACK" or "SELECT" buttons. Enemies will be automatically spotted (as the controller will automatically press the spotting button for you) when you pull the Left Trigger.
How Do I Operate Auto-Spot Mode?
To turn Auto Spot Mode ON, hold the mod switch on the back of the controller, press and hold “BACK” button, then tap the D-Pad UP. Player 3 LED will twinkle and then stay ON to let you know the mode has been activated.
To change Auto Spot Mode to a different sub mod:

- Press and hold the “BACK” button
- Then press and hold the D-PAD button UP
-Count the number of blinks on the Player 3 LED. (Example: Sub Mode 2-Player 3 LED will flash 2 times and stay LIT)
